KRISHAUNA'S TRAVELOGUE:
ALL ABOARD, TODOS ABORDO!
COMMITMENT TO TRANSNATIONAL WORK
It was essential that this special day be symbolic of our commitment to transnational work. My international students & friends accompanied me down the isle.
TRAVELOGUE MULTIMEDIA PRESENTATION
(The link below houses the bulk of my travelogue. You will enjoy a fully narrated, colorful, travelogue that journeys through multiple transnational spaces. The presentation also connects strongly to course readings. Come along for the journey.)
POSTCARD CORRESPONDENCES
I contacted three Ghanaian women to learn more about the urgent matters concerning women in Ghana. My former student is from Ghana and she put me in contact with her mother and her aunt who both reside in Ghana).

FILM ANALYSIS
In the Time of the Butterflies (film analysis document)
(This film is a truly inspiring work that is based on real events. I was excited to learn that it was one of our film choices. I had read Julia Alvarez's book upon which the film is based, but I had never viewed the film).
RACIAL DISPARITIES IN ECUADOR
(Experiences relayed to me during my interviews with Afro-Latinos as well as the film footage captured here, encourage me to continue my Afro-Latino research and collaborations. You will see that there is much work yet to be done.)
BEAUTY STANDARDS IN THE U.S.A
(This link is a great connection to the Parameswaran text on E-Race-ing Color. It also connects well to my travelogue where Afro-Latinos express similar issues with colorism and dominant beauty standards.)

Krishauna's Paper Title: The Intersectionality of Race, Ethnicity, Class, and Gender: The Lived Experiences of Afro-Latina Women
